Close to you (and me) ~ Studio “Syrup Comfiture”
I love Sakuraba’s pictures, they’re full of emotions, and his doujin are always so deep –or sad, depend how you want to see it. Anyway, I somehow believe this illustration describes quite well this song.
…is this song really an arrangement of Suwa Foughten Field? It might just be because I almost never listen to this kind of music, but I can hear everything except Suwa Foughten Field. Well whatever.
Apparently I should pay more attention to those circles/genres, but I already know it’s something I won’t never do. I actually can’t stand I’d say the 99% of these song (eurobeat, trace, lolwut, I have no idea which genres they are); so far the only exceptions have been this one, “星霜輪廻~Repeat~” by EastNewSound (Chata’s fault, maybe) and “Cry” by 38BEETS –thanks to Murasaki; yet why you’re not singing for other circle/genres? ;w;
So, since my knowledge here’s is near the zero, have a nice reading~

Notes
Just a few lines before the “true” notes. I believe most of the phrases have a messed up phrase structure, thus I’m not really sure sometimes which is the “main” verb and which’s not. I tried to figure out the most appropriate translation though. Also, I know the translation might be really messed up, but in some parts, the stanzas are actually chained –or at least that’s what I think.
“冷たく潤す雨が | Chilly, the rain that falls down”; the verb used it actually “to wet”, and the literal translation is “the wetted rain”. Anyway, since I’ve found this pretty useless and redundant, I’ve opted for a more liberal translation, following the one I think should be the “right” phrase structure –since here most of them are messed up.
“世界が | The world”; I’ve chained it with the stanza below, but this “phrase” by itself sounds like if it has never been finished –unless is the actual subject of the phrases above, but I highly doubt they wanted to mean “The world runs away from feelings”. If left alone, the translation’s “The world is”; if joint with the part below, the literally meaning is “The world these eyes were gazing at is feeling (them), is believing (them)”. But I by myself decided to give a more liberal translation~
“その瞳は今 | These eyes just now”; here, eyes is written as “瞳” but pronounced as “目”. But aside this, there’s no difference in the translation.“瞳” actually indicated the pupil, but it’s common used with the same meaning as “目”, at least from my experience.
“届いて | I’m reaching”; I don’t know why there’s written “this hand” instead of leaving “hand” alone, considering these verbs are (or should be) referred to “hand”. Anyway it could also be that only the first verb (to stretch) is connected to hand, while the others are still related to the world -though I’m not sure about it, phrases’ structur are really messy in this song. Probably it’s just because I’m somehow tired, but my mind can’t comes out with a good translation. Sorry “”
“芽生える生命 | A life has born”; the literal translation is “A budded life”. Also, life is written as “生命” but pronounced as “命”. But again, there’s basically no difference in the meaning, except for the fact that “生命” means also existence.

Close to you (and me)
冷たく潤す雨が
朽ちてく木々の悲鳴が
広がる遥かな空が
いつでも側にあるように
tsumetaku uruosu ame ga
kuchiteku kigi no himei ga
hirogaru haruka na sora ga
itsudemo soba ni aru youni
Chilly, the rain that falls down
The sound of trees that decay
The distant sky that fills the space
They will always be near me
変わりゆく時悲しまないで
古き地に
kawari yuku toki kanashimanai de
furuki ji ni
Time’s changing but don’t be sad
For the old land
想いを馳せる
重なって行く
世界が
omoi wo haseru
kasanatte yuku
sekai ga
I run from my feelings
That keeps piling up
The world
その瞳は今
見つめて
感じて
信じて
sono me wa ima
mitsumete
kanjite
shinjite
These eyes just now
Are gazing
Are feeling
Are believing
この手を今
伸ばして
届いて
愛して
kono te wo ima
nobashite
todoite
aishite
And this hand now
I’m stretching
I’m reaching
I’m loving
恵みの潤す雨が
朽ちてた大地染み込む
晴れてく遥かな空に
いつかはなれますように
megumi no uruosu ame ga
kuchiteta daichi shimikomu
hareteku haruka na sora ni
itsukaha naremasu you ni
The blessing of the rain that falls down
Soaks into the decayed land
Into the distant sky that
Someday will surely become sunny
変わりゆく時
芽生える生命
古き地に
想いは宿る
繋がって行く
世界が
kawari yuku toki
mebaeru inochi
furuki ji ni
omoi wa yadoru
tsunagatte yuku
sekai ga
Time’s changing
A life has born
In the old land
Where feelings are dwell
And tied together
The world
その瞳は今
見つめて
感じて
信じて
sono me wa ima
mitsumete
kanjite
shinjite
These eyes just now
Are gazing
Are feeling
Are believing
この手を今
伸ばして
届いて
愛して
kono te wo ima
nobashite
todoite
aishite
And this hand now
I’m stretching
I’m reaching
I’m loving
oooh I love this song.
Hi, I’ve found a little error in your original lyrics
その瞳は今
見つめた
感じて
信じて
It’s not correct, from the booklet or from the song, it should be.
その瞳は今
見つめて
感じて
信じて
oops…I forgot.. another mistake is
晴れてく遥かな空が
It should be…
晴れてく遥かな空に
Oh why I’ve made so many errors in this one x.x
Thank you very much, I’ve fixed both translation and lyrics :3
Thanks a lot for this <3
