Mirror of Paranoia

Maybe, finally, the lyrics are right, since in UNDEAD CORPORATION’s TOHO COMPLETE BOX this song’s lyrics were within and –hopefully- this time they are correct. Though I think I preferred the misprinted version with “川へと変わるでしょう”, where they spelled out Prismriver in a creative way. I guess they had to change the lyrics due to rhythmic, so it can’t be helped~ Revised today, the 24th November 2016.

Probably the first song I’ve ever wanted to translate, but never done before maybe because I wanted to have enough “experience” to do a translation which would have given justice to this awesome song. And now here I am. This song means so much to me, for a lot of reasons I won’t explain; I really hope I’ve caught every aspect of its meaning and beauty.

Well, I guess I’ll stop already this brief “description”, since I will probably only repeat myself. If you haven’t listen to this awesome album by UNDEAD CORPORATION… Well, do it right now, you won’t regret.

Notes

“幽し者へ | For you, fleeting”; in romaji “kasokeshi mono e”. Or  “yuushi mono e”, depending on if you want to pick the adjective reading or the verb reading. I really love how Pine decided to use an archaic word such as “幽し” just to recall the original title, “幽霊楽団 ～ Phantom Ensemble” –or at least, this is what I want to believe. Oh, by the way, I’ve edited the title’s translation because this one is more “feels”. At first I wanted to put it as “For a fading person”, keeping the JP structure. But well, I’m done in this way.
